Accounting Services – Senior Accountant/Consultant

• This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager of the firm

• Manage several clients and deliver work timely and accurately so clients can make the necessary decisions needed to run their businesses

• Assist in developing strategies to solve client issues

• Provide technical accounting and consulting services to client base

• Continuously monitor accounting standard changes and advise clients on accounting complexities

• Maintain existing client relationships and participate in business development efforts

• Assist in recruiting and hiring efforts

• Participate as an individual contributor to the team and mentor staff with less experience


• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant accounting experience

• An extensive knowledge of US GAAP and accounting practices including but not limited to year- end and month-end closing processes, financial statement preparation and general ledger accounting

• Working knowledge of cash basis and accrual basis accounting as well as conversions

• Ability to put in extra effort as needed to complete engagements and projects with demanding deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting systems including but not limited to QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP and Hyperion

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adaptable to change

• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills for handling multiple client projects simultaneously

• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel

• Has received solid performance reviews and feedback from previous employers

• Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills

• Possesses an interest in business development and growing a book of business

• Positive attitude, dependable, and reliable


• Active CPA License or currently pursuing a CPA License

• Master’s Degree of Accountancy

• Knowledge of small business accounting and start-up accounting

• Experience at Big Four public accounting firm

• Experience in technical areas of accounting including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions and business combinations

• Working knowledge of taxation on individuals and a wide range of business structures including sole proprietorships, Partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, Estates and Trusts

• Can quickly research unknown technical issues using various firm tools and resources
